About

I’m a commercial photographer who has been based in the lovely city of Edinburgh since 1990. When I first arrived I managed to get part time work in the darkroom of Scotsman Publications, the large and impressive building on the South side of the North Bridge. I processed colour and B&W films providing prints for the Scotsman, Evening News and Scotland on Sunday while taking any freelance photography that was on offer.

The following year I got a full time job as a photographer for Scotsman’s local newspapers. A few years later I left this post to go back to being a freelance photographer, still working for the press but branching out into Corporate photography which I fully embraced in 1999. I have seen many changes over the last 30 years in the state of profession but feel blessed that after all this time I still love photography and taking photos. the saying “find a job you love and you’ll never work again” has never felt more apt.
